We are thrilled to report that The Cormier Fund raised $23,000 and was a fitting way to honor Chuck Cormier’s 23 years of service and dedication to the students at PRS. Because of your generosity, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) programming will remain strong at PRS and will ensure Chuck’s love of everything science continues.
At the last PRS All School Meeting, Chuck spoke about how his passion for science has grown over his career and how pleased he was to see children at PRS exploring and discovering in their own way. This Fund will ensure STEAM activities continue and will help to build the next generation of innovative and thoughtful thinkers. Whether students are building pet habitats, learning basic coding or investigating wind turbines, they are learning concepts of science they can use in various facets of their lives. The PRS PTO budgets $3,000 annually for STEAM programming so this Fund will ensure nearly 8 years of programming. We have been humbled by the outpouring of support from you and so many in the community who stepped forward to honor Chuck’s undeniable legacy. Thank you for being a part of this tribute to Chuck and making a lasting impact on the children of PRS. |
